Hi.
How do you make a PDFX1a in Distiller 5.0?

If I make a PDFX1a:2001 in InDesign is it the same?

If you are required to make .pdfs through Distiller..why do they have the option to make that kind of .pdf in InDesign?

Distiller SERVER? If not, you seem to have the wrong forum.
Anyway, support for PDF/X-1a did not appear until Distiller Server 6.0
and Distiller 6.0.

They are both compliant to the PDF/X-1a standard. They aren't exactly
the same.

Some people like to use Distiller, some people like to export from
InDesign. Both of those groups may need to work with PDF/X files.

Sorry for being in the wrong forum. Where have I been? Is Distiller completely gone? Now it's Distiller Server in version 8? Wow.

Is there any way I can make a PDFX1a with InDesign CS2?

Does anyone know off hand if Distiller comes with Acrobat 9.0? I am trying to find this out now, but I think when I purchased it, it came..but that was a couple versions back..

No, not at all.

Distiller is a part of the Acrobat product as it always has been. For
questions about Acrobat, including Distiller, there's the Acrobat
forum.

Distiller Server is a big ticket server product.
